Cooking Instructions & Storage Guidelines

1. Soaking: Wash 1 cup of NOFH Organic Horse Gram thoroughly in cold water. Soak in water overnight (or for 6 to 8 hours) to soften the grain and reduce cooking time.
2. Cooking: Pressure cook the soaked horse gram with 4 parts water and a pinch of salt for 5 to 6 whistles on medium heat until soft and tender.
3. Serving: Use the cooked legumes in curries or stir-fries, and save the nutrient-rich cooking broth (kattu) to make traditional rasam or soup.
4. Storage Instructions: Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, transfer contents to an airtight glass or food-grade container to preserve freshness.
